Why choose breast uplift surgery?
Women’s breasts can sometimes begin to sag and loose volume for a number of reasons including weight loss, frequent dieting, pregnancy, age and some genetic factors. Breast uplift surgery can help woman to feel more confident and achieve the aesthetic results they want.
What is breast uplift surgery?
A breast uplift, also known as a breast mastopexy can correct this, lifting the breast and producing more youthful, firmer breasts. Sometimes, an uplift can be combined with a breast augmentation (breast enhancement) to replace lost volume and improve the overall shape.
Breast uplift surgery – what the procedure involves
A breast uplift is a surgical procedure performed under general anaesthetic by a specialist Cosmetic Surgeon. Normally the Surgeon will make an incision along the crease of the breast (where it meets the chest wall), up towards and around the areola. There are other incision techniques that your Surgeon may use, however these will depend on the degree of uplift required and your skin type. The options available to you will be discussed fully at your free consultation.
Can I augment my breast along with uplift?
Depending on your circumstances, your Surgeon may advise that the best result will be achieved by having a breast augmentation (breast enhancement) at the same time as your uplift. This may improve the shape and contour of your breasts following surgery. This will be discussed with you fully at your consultation.
